Cinder Terms of Use
Last updated July 28, 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of Cinder, provided by Pavel Larionov (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using Cinder, you agree to these terms.
License and permitted use
Cinder is licensed, not sold. You may use it for lawful personal or professional video-compression workflows on Apple devices associated with your App Store account, subject to Apple’s usage rules.
Your videos and files
You keep ownership of your videos and finished files. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process, save, share, or delete any material you give to Cinder.
Compression changes the media file and may reduce visual or audio quality. Keep an original when the source matters. If you ask Cinder to replace or delete an original, that action may not be reversible.
Third-party services
Optional features may rely on Apple services such as Photos, Files, iCloud Drive, the App Store, or online sources selected by you. Availability and behavior of those services are controlled by their providers and subject to their own terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cinder to:
- break applicable law or infringe another person’s rights;
- circumvent access restrictions or technical protections;
- distribute unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized material; or
- interfere with Cinder, Apple services, or third-party services.
Availability and updates
We may improve, change, or discontinue features. Operating-system updates, media formats, storage availability, and third-party changes can affect how Cinder works. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or support for every device, file, codec, or external source.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Cinder is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. You are responsible for checking the compressed result before deleting or replacing an original.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, failed exports, unavailable third-party services, or decisions made from a compressed result. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Apple terms
Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms also govern your use of Cinder. If these terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, the mandatory App Store terms control.
Privacy
Cinder’s data handling is described in the Cinder Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
